Erin (16)

(note: Erin can handle every chore but needs more time for school work)

  • Tidy up bedroom
  • Feed frogs
  • Tuck-in slipcovers on LR furniture
  • Diaper changes (afternoons)
  • Bathe and prepare Hannah for bed
  • Put Hannah down for afternoon nap
  • Dinner prep.
  • (Tues/Friday/Saturday)
  • Lunch clean-up
  • Dinner clean-up (Mon/Thurs/Sunday)

Hillary (9)

  • Tidy up bedroom
  • Diaper changes (mornings)
  • Dress Hannah
  • Feed and change water for mouse
  • Breakfast clean-up
  • Lunch prep
  • Straighten up bathrooms
  • Straighten up school room after school
  • Take things up stairs and put into proper rooms (clothes and toys that accumulate on the stairs)
  • Fix beverages for all meals

Daniel (7)

(chores are more detailed for him and he has a picture chart to help him)

    • Make bed and tidy bedroom (pick up dirty clothes; put away toys/books)
    • Walk the dog
    • Feed and water the dog (clean out dog dishes)
    • Take trash to recycling bins and garbage cans
    • Straighten the living room (pick up toys, clothes, shoes and books, fold throws and put pillows on the furniture)
    • Bring in the mail and newspaper (put it on mom’s desk)
    • Breakfast prep. (with mom’s help)
    • Set the table before meals
    • Clear the table after meals

Hannah (2)

      • Helps brother set table
      • Learning to dress and undress herself
      • “Helps” mom in the kitchen
      • Entertains Samuel (4 months)
      • Learning to be a good “go-fer” (go for this and that)

      • Clean mouse cage
      • Heavy clean bed room
      • Clean bathrooms (scrub sinks, toilets and bathtub, mirrors)
      • Dust dining room, living room and school room
      • Straighten basement (play room area) and vacuum if needed
      • Clean storm doors
      • Clean stove top
      • Dinner prep. (Thursdays)
      • Dinner clean-up (Wednesdays)
      • Wash hair (Saturday

Daniel (7)

    • Take trash out to street (Thursday) and bring empty cans back to garage
    • Take recycling out to street (every other Thursday) and bring empty bins back to garage
    • Vacuum living room carpet
    • Vacuum school room rug
    • Wipe off school room chairs (actually extension of kitchen where we eat)
    • Clean computer screen and television screen with glass cleaner
    • Clean front of stove, dishwasher and refrigerator with glass cleaner and/or sponge
    • Straighten up bicycles and toys in garage
    • Sweep garage as needed
    • Vacuum vans (1 of 3 each week – if he does a good job on this chore he gets paid)
