About Our Family
We are the Maxwells! We have been homeschooling since 1985, and it's been a wonderful, delightful, and challenging journey.

Our family has a blog, which we keep updated with family and ministry news. Click here to view it.

Steve, Nathan, and Christopher work together in our family business, Communication Concepts. The Lord brought Steve to work at home from corporate America in 1997.

Detailed Bios:

Steve, in addition to his many responsibilities, likes to share his heart in his monthly e-mail article, the Dad's Corner. Last year, he and Teri finished a book called Managers of Their Chores: A Practical Guide to Children's Chores. He also recorded Feed My Sheep: A Practical Guide to Daily Family Devotions. We desire for families to be encouraged to see how it is possible to do family devotions and be consistent. The second CD is actual samples for two of our family's devotions. To learn more about the 2 CD set, please click here. Steve's biggest challenge this year is the project of a new house, right behind our current house. It became apparent last year that the ministry has out grown our current house. We're building a home right behind this one, and Christopher, our second oldest son, is purchasing our current one, which enabled us to be able to build. Steve is enjoying working with the boys and learning together.

Teri loves being a homemaker, homeschooler, wife, and mother! Her days are filled to the brim with her tasks, but she manages to squeeze in writing time (because of her schedule?!). She also writes monthly Mom's Corners. Since the house project began, she has been making frequent trips to The Home Depot and running other errands that are needed as the house progresses.

Nathan, at the age of 24, bought a home debt-free. It has been a family goal to have our boys be able to purchase a home without incurring debt and to be able to provide for their family (more about this in Steve's book, Preparing Sons to Provide for a Single-Income Family). Nathan went through a courtship and engagement before marrying Melanie in 2002. He and his wife live right across the street from us, which is a blessing! They just had a little girl, Abigail Hope, in May.

Christopher graduated from homeschooling in 1997 and has been working full time in the family business since then. Most of his work involves financial consulting with companies, designing web sites, and photography. He did most of the layout and design work on our books. He enjoys being a part of the family, and, now that Nathan is married, Christopher has become the “oldest” of the children at home. He and Joseph designed our new line of ScripturePrints.

Sarah graduated from homeschooling in 2000 and works for our family ministry/business, Titus2. She has written four children's books: Summer with the Moodys, Autumn with the Moodys, Winter with the Moodys, and Spring with the Moodys. Sarah enjoys playing her banjo, sewing, and helping her family.
She's the "photographer" of whatever current work projects are going on.

Joseph has been programming (PHP, C#, Object Pascal) for quite a few years and last year he finished ChoreWare, an Internet-based software that goes along with Managers of Their Chores. He just graduated from home school, and his spare time right now is busy with helping on the house. When he does have a bit of time, he loves playing the mandolin and guitar. He also enjoys photography and helped with the ScripturePrints designs.

John has a wonderful servant's heart. He is a major part of the house project, and one of his favorite things to do is drive the Uniloader that he and Joseph purchased and eventually hope to begin a business with. He also handles all of our CD duplication. John is a great banjo player!

Anna is happy to help in whatever ways she can. She is a hard worker at the house, and she loves to be outside helping her brothers and Dad whenever she can. She is also Dad's right-hand girl when he needs a helper! Anna enjoys baking, and she makes incredible whole-wheat tortillas. She loves to play her fiddle. Anna also is Sarah's "back up" with shipping Titus2.com orders.

Jesse is full of energy and excitement. He recently took over mowing our family's yard from John, and that's been a blessing. He cheerfully helps at the new house with whatever is needed. Jesse enjoys playing his hammered dulcimer and is excelling quite rapidly.

Mary is the last child that the Lord has given us. She is a special delight and joy. She enjoys helping with whatever she can do at the new house. Mary is also a great asset at the book tables when we travel together as a family. She plays the mountain dulcimer, guitar, and upright bass.

You might enjoy some pictures of our family's A Gospel Music Evening at a homeschool conference. Please see below.

Our family's highest delight is in knowing Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and serving Him. We pray that this website and the materials we offer will be a blessing to your family!
